Vegan coconut bacon, a vegan bacon replacement made from coconut flakes! It’s salty, sweet, crunchy, and so incredibly satisfying. Use it to top salads, on sandwiches, and even casseroles (mac n cheese anyone?). Whatever the contest, I promise you will love it.
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F
- Coat coconut flakes in tamari, maple syrup, and optional liquid smoke
- Spread out on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silpat. Make sure flakes are spread evenly and not overlapping for maximum crunchiness.
- Bake 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool about 5 minutes.
When baking for 12 minutes the edge pieces get a little burnt. I liked that, but if don't want burnt pieces remove it at 10 minutes.
Store in an airtight container 1-2 weeks, but best when fresh.
