Happy snowy Saturday beautiful people! I hope you are inside, staying warm, cuddled up under a blanket or with a friend. Watch some extra netflix, make hot cocoa, bake muffins, and start nesting this weekend- we’ve got a long winter ahead.
Sigh.. I’m snuggled up with this hot tea. It’s amazing, I can’t get enough. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, scratchy throat, throbbing ears, the tell-tale signs of a cold coming on. So besides my daily Vitamin C, I’ve been making an anti-inflammatory tea. To simplify, I’ve been using Trader Joe’s turmeric ginger tea bags, but you can use any tea or just hot water with a pinch of ground ginger and ground turmeric (or whole ginger and turmeric muddled and strained, if thats your thing!). I add honey, apple cider vinegar, and nutmeg to it. It’s warm and soothing and not only good for the soul, but good to keep our bodies functioning at their best this season. I also added cayenne pepper for a spicy kick, but this is completely optional.
While sipping on your tonic, catch up on some links with me!
Emotions and physical sentiments are so closely linked, it’s important to be aware of the difference. Related, is being ‘fat’ the worst thing that you could feel? (the answer is no- so enjoy the holidays, don’t count calories)
Meditation Detention? I love this idea.
Another way to fight off colds! It’s important to eat so that our bodies can function their best.
More beginner yoga. Because yoga solves all 😉 Try some poses and let me know how you like them!
